New author for me.
The premise of the story is interesting, but when he rejects his mate and goes out with other women, the story has lost several stars.
She practically runs after him for a whole year and he rejects her with the help of the other inhabitants. The poor thing is humiliated and mocked daily.
I like when the mates meet and nothing and no one can stop them from being together, the momentum is greater and the encounter is explosive. When the hero has deliberately chosen to ignore his mate, there is not enough grovel to forgive it.
But the author writes well and I'll keep an eye on the next book.
