Is with my broken heart that I finished reading the book that turned out to be a deep disappointment.
The heroes (AKA Doormat and Asshole) were immature and without any appeal to the reader. Both taking wrong decisions and then refusing to acknowledge their own mistakes.
The heroine annoyed me deeply and the hero behaves extremely rude.
The story is completely silly.
Heroin despite being with 23-year-old marries a guy old enough to be her grandfather and then stay married for many years without moving on with her life.
With the excuse of being traumatized by what happened to her friends and be used by hero in police investigation she grasps the possibility of being cared for by her husband and settled in that situation. She eventually becomes the caretaker of her husband when he gets sick with cancer.
The hero moves on with his life and have a lot of relationships and two of them really serious. Ends with a daughter of one of these relationships.
Even the appearance of the villain or the conflict with hero's ex added nothing in the plot.
The story was dragging and I ended up reading more by obligation to finish than actually being interested in what would happen to the characters.
I enjoyed the participation of characters from Rock Chick series.
The story was very predictable and did not match my expectations.
I sincerely hope the next one is better.

Primeiro tenho que dizer que esta é uma das minhas autoras favoritas e sempre compro.
O livro mistura um herói alto, forte, protetor, masculino, lutador de box, pai, amante com uma heroína bonita, com um jeito meio pedante de falar, antenada em moda e música, inteligente, carente de amor e de família.
Ele já passou por três casamentos e diversos casos com mulheres que o desapontaram e não corresponderam as expectativas dele.
Ela passou anos apaixonada pelo chefe dela e acabou resguardando o coração achando que ela nunca iria achar o homem dos sonhos dela.
Nossa heroína passou uma infância difícil vivendo com um pai violento que batia nela.
A única conexão emocional dela era com a avó que a amava incondicionalmente e era um porto seguro para ela.
A história inicia com o enterro da avó da heroína e depois com a leitura dos últimos desejos da avó.
Eu reconheci de imediato o estilo e modo de escrever da autora e me senti como voltando para casa.
Simplesmente amei a história e encontrei todos elementos peculiares ao universo criado pela autora... comunidade pequena e integrada, vizinhos, amigos, ex-mulheres, ex-amantes, filhos adolescentes enfrentando as mudanças da idade, alguma ameaça à heroína... 
Esqueci de mencionar a química entre o casal e as cenas entre eles muito quentes.
A história é linda e valoriza não só o amor entre o casal, mas valoriza o amor entre os membros da família.
Os personagens secundários são todos maravilhosos e fico imaginando qual será o próximo protagonista da nova história.
Recomendo muito a leitura!

First I have to say that this is one of my favorite authors and I always buy.
The book blends a tall, strong hero, protector, male, boxer, father, lover, with a beautiful heroine, with a sort of pedantic talking, tuned in fashion and music, intelligent, lacking in love and family.
He has been through three marriages and numerous Affairs with women who disappointed and did not match his expectations.
She spent years in love with her boss and just saved the heart thinking she would never find the man of her dreams.
Our heroine spent a difficult childhood living with an abusive father who used to beat her.
The only emotional connection was with her grandmother who loved her unconditionally and was a safe haven for her.
The story begins with the heroine's grandmother's funeral and later with the reading of the last wishes of her grandmother.
I recognized immediately the style and manner of writing of the author and it felt like coming home.
Just loved the story and found all the elements peculiar to the universe created by author ... small and integrated community, neighbors, friends, ex-wives, ex-lovers, teens facing the changes of age, any threat to heroin ... 
Forgot to mention the chemistry between the couple and the scenes between them very hot.
The story is beautiful and appreciates not only the love between the couple, but appreciates the love between the family members.
The secondary characters are all wonderful and I just wonder what will be the next protagonist of the new story.
I highly recommend reading!
