Primeiro eu gostaria de destacar que Kristen Ashley é minha autora favorita e eu simplesmente adoro esta série.
O personagem Jacob "Deck" Decker já nos foi apresentado no livro Breathe (Colorado Mountain 4), pois ele é o melhor amigo do Chase e teve uma participação importante naquele livro. Confesso que fiquei muito interessada em descobrir mais sobre ele e a mulher que conquistaria o coração dele.
Jacob é chamado por seu amigo Chase para ajudar a solucionar uma série de crimes que está acontecendo na cidade de Gnaw Bone. Chegando na cidade ele reencontra Emmanuelle "Emme" Holmes que foi sua amiga muitos anos antes. Emme era melhor amiga da ex-namorada de Jacob e amiga dele também.
A conexão entre eles era muito especial mas foi perdida quando Jacob foi chutado pela ex-namorada.
Emme está totalmente mudada e se transformou numa linda mulher. Jacob fica boquiaberto com as mudanças.
Emme está em um relacionamento com um dos suspeitos de comandar a série de crimes e acaba sendo envolvida na investigação de Jacob e é colocada em perigo. Emme também enfrenta uma série de traumas e medos devido a um sequestro que ela sofreu quando era criança.
O livro está recheado de cenas muito boas e a história tem um ritmo um pouco mais lento do que as anteriores. A autora se concentra bastante no lado psicológico dos personagens.
Personagens dos livros anteriores aparecem e os leitores são presenteados com o nascimento do filho de Chase e Faye. As cenas são ótimas e as heroínas dos livros anteriores da série formam uma amizade com Emme. Ela é acolhida no grupo e ela é bem recebida pelas mulheres. Cada uma delas dá uma opinião no relacionamento de Jacob e Emme. E elas tentam ajudar Emme a lidar com um macho alfa. As cenas são ótimas!
Nossa heroína é maravilhosa! Ela é doce, inteligente, sensível, adora animais e é muito determinada.
A história que envolve o caleidoscópio é muito linda e eu não vou contar nada para não estragar a leitura.
Acho que a história da ex-namorada poderia ter sido mais explorada, afinal Jacob passou 9 anos ainda pensando nela. Ela é uma vadia!
O final foi maravilhoso e o epílogo muito legal!
Vale a pena ler e recomendo muito!!!!

First I would like to point out that Kristen Ashley is my favorite author and I simply adore this series.
The character Jacob "Deck" Decker already was presented in the book Breathe (Colorado Mountain #4) because he is Chase's best friend and had a major stake in that book. I confess that I was very interested in finding out more about him and the woman who would conquer his heart.
Jacob is called by his friend Chase to help solve a series of crimes that are happening in the city of Gnaw Bone. Coming to town
He finds Emmanuelle "Emme" Holmes who was your friend many years before. Emme was best friend of Jacob's ex-girlfriend and his friend too.
The connection between them was very special but was lost when Jacob was dumped by ex-girlfriend.
Emme is totally changed and turned into a beautiful woman. Jacob is awestruck by the changes.
Emme is in a relationship with one of the suspects to command the crime spree and ends up being involved in the investigation of Jacob and she is put in jeopardy. Emme is also facing a series of traumas and fears due to a kidnapping that she suffered as a child.
The book is filled with some very good scenes and the story has a somewhat slower pace than the previous ones. The author focuses a lot on the mental side of the characters.
Characters from previous books appear and readers are presented with the birth of the son of Chase and Faye. The scenes are great and the heroines of the previous books in the series form a friendship with Emme. She is welcome in the Group and she is well received by women. Each one of them gives an opinion in the relationship of Jacob and Emme. And they try to help Emme dealing with an alpha male. The scenes are great!
Our heroine is wonderful! She is sweet, smart, sensitive, loves animals and is very determined.
The story involves the Kaleidoscope is very beautiful and I'm not going to say anything to not spoil the reading.
I think the story of ex-girlfriend could have been more explored after all Jacob spent 9 years still thinking about her. She is a bitch!
The ending was amazing and the epilogue very cool!
Worth a read and I highly recommend!!!!
