Nós conhecemos Wolf e Sara no livro Texas Born.
-------------------------

We know Wolf and Sara in the book Texas Born. The couple are linked to the character Gabriel, she is his sister and he's friend and fellow mercenary.
Sara and Wolf has a hatred at first sight and pass to antagonize each time they meet. The scenes are really hilarious.
The hero is typical of the author being an ogre, jerk and womanizer and the heroine an innocent and Virgin.
Sara suffered abuse from her stepfather and never recovered from the trauma. She is a beautiful woman, but full of insecurities and tormented by the past.
Wolf is traumatized by a love affair with a cruel and abusive woman who used sex to control him. This woman from the past is like physically with Sara.
The author provides us with very good scenes where the hero casts his frustrations and traumas on heroin while she tries to protect her heart and her mental health.
We have the participation of secondary characters very interesting and our dear Barbara has a suitor.
I love Barbara and I'm rooting for her!
The author continues engaging the characters in the game World of Warcraft and I thought it was cool, but too much is annoying.
We have action scenes and romance and our favorite psychologist's participation. That's right, she is the one who creates snakes as pets and that dealt with the mental health of Colby Lane!
As a fan of the author I was satisfied with reading and really enjoyed it! Recommend to the readers who enjoy the author and their stories of rude men that are tamed by sweet heroines.

Accidents of Marriage: A Novel by Randy Susan Meyers

Accidents of Marriage: A Novel by Randy Susan Meyers

Kindle Edition, 368 pages

Expected publication: September 2nd 2014 by Atria Books

Review in Portuguese and English

Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1025625415

Recomendo a leitura e vou passar a acompanhar o trabalho desta autora.

-------------------

I thank the NetGalley and the author by anticipating a copy of this book for honest review.
I didn't know the author and I was positively impressed by her writing.
The book tells the story of a couple and their three children. The husband has trouble controlling his violence and his family fears the time for him to get home. The domestic environment is deteriorating with each passing year and all fear the blasts of fury of Ben.
The story is told of realistic and humane way and we got stuck reading wondering the unfolding events.
Was pondering about how an intelligent and educated woman stuck in an abusive relationship for so many years and was willing to continue this relationship in the name of love.
When a woman has to take a pill of tranquilizers or antidepressants before the husband comes home or to face the day is already a sign that things are very wrong in this home.
In one of these fits of anger Ben causes a crash and leaves Maddy comatose and with serious health problems.
While she fights for life in a hospital bed we see Ben make an examination of his attitudes towards the family and Maddy.
So I thought that the story would be that the usual cliche with her husband with crisis of conscience and regret getting nice suddenly.
But the author explores the human side of the characters of a real and honest way. He suddenly has to perform the function of father, mother, caretaker and protector of the family and this function all ends up leaving Ben more lost yet.
Hence we are following the shock of the children to discover that her mother would never be the same again and that the father due to his anger and inattention caused the whole tragedy.
Maddy has a great battle ahead of her because she stayed with sequels of the accident and each day is a difficulty to be faced.
When Maddy take awareness of the problem and resolves to make a decision that should have taken years before is a really sad scene and liberating at the same time. It's like a veil was removed from the front of her eyes and the reality were presented laid bare in front of her.
I enjoyed the reading and when the book came to an end I confess that I wish the story had continued more.
I recommend reading and I'm going to follow the work of this author.

Review in Portuguese and English

Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1012045732

--------------------------

I never resist to books of Diana Palmer, so once again I devoured the book.
I confess I was apprehensive due to so many negative comments, but I found a reading ok and with all characteristic elements of the author.
Virgin heroine with religious convictions, but with interesting personality. She's no fool and still loves to play WOW! Her physical characteristics are common to all the author's heroines, she is common and without many attractions.
Our heroes is a mercenary who has been all over the world and he's all traumatized, as all heroes of the author. He's a jerk and womanizer. All it took was a busty blonde to trick him and make him a fool. All heroes of the author has a weakness for blondes skanks.
Despite being a standalone book is interesting reading the series Wyoming Men to better understand the events of the story.
The characters of the previous books appear and give a special color to the story. I love Cash and Tippy redeemed himself, loved her attitude to defend our heroine.
Everyone who knows me knows I hate Tippy and want Cash stayed with Christabel.
The book has a lot of action because the heroine and her father are being threatened and need protection from mercenaries who live in the city. Cy appears in the story, too.
Residents form a safety net to help our heroine and are always there to support her.
Rourke has important participation in history and I was in the mood to read more about him and the woman he loves.
Our heroes reach the HEA as was expected and the author delivers straight.
But I missed more hot scenes between the characters and the author's increasingly puritanical.
Another typical book author and recommended only to fans.

BOOK TOUR: Lisa Marie Rice - Murphy's Law

Murphy's Law by Lisa Marie Rice

ebook, 281 pages
Published June 12th 2014 by The Story Vault
(first published July 1st 2005)

Resenha em português e inglês / Review in Portuguese and English

ARC recebido da autora para resenha honesta / ARC received from author to honest review.

Achei o primo italiano e a irmã do Herói personagens bem interessantes.
-----------------------------

This book was previously released with the title Dying for Siena and under the name of
Elizabeth Jennings.
The story is a comedy with a hint of suspense and some romance.
Our heroine Faith Murphy, hence the name of the book, is a brilliant mathematics, but she
suffers from difficulties of dealing with people and with the social relationship.
Our hero is an athlete half empty head and that he's a womanizer.
The story begins with our heroes having sex, she's expecting more and he's too drunk to
remember what happened. He suffered a concussion and ends up drunk and wakes up
disoriented and don't even remember with who he slept with.
She is mortified and flees, because discovers that he was meeting with another woman who
didn't show up.
Faith is called hastily to a Conference in Italy and getting there becomes involved in the murder
of a colleague. She's really very clumsy and although smart can't do things very well and ends up
being number one suspect of the crime.
From there we have a lot of description of places and a horse race called the Palio.
I found a bit annoying and I confess that I skipped some descriptions more boring.
The story continues and has hilarious scenes where the cops and also of the police investigation.
I thought the Italian cousin and Hero's sister very interesting characters.
But I continue reading to find out who killed the guy, anyway I was curious about the plot and who
killed the guy.
I don't even care anymore with the couple I was wondering who was guilty of murder.
The hero is no alpha male that we find in the books of the author. I got used to the men of the
series Ghost Op.
I was disappointed, but at the end the reading was good.

Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/990224494?book_show_action=false

.----------------------------

I waited so long for this book and was very eager to start reading it.
But I confess that disappointed me with reading and when I arrived in 60% of the content I was really frustrated.
The pace of the story was slow and the heroine forgave everything bad that the family of an ex-boyfriend made her pass. It was as if nothing had happened.
Benny was a jerk to her and she just let it go.
Okay that she dreamed of a family she never had and that she was eager to be part of that wonderful family. But I thought it was all very easy.
Then we rolled with the coming and going of the couple visiting and enjoying the new relationship. But nothing much happens in the story and I really got bored.
I can say with certainty that the secondary characters save the book.
We have the participation of Sal the mobster, Joe and family, Luke Stark, the heroine's coworkers, Cherry, Colt and Feb...The heroine's family also gives a spice to the story.
All very crazy and full of problems.
After 80% the story really took off and I liked her a lot.
But if it wasn't my favorite author I'd quit reading before.
All elements characteristic of the author are in the history, but it lacked something.
I hope the next reach my expectations.

The 'Burg series by Kristen Ashley

The 'Burg series by Kristen Ashley

For You (The 'Burg #1) by Kristen Ashley

Kindle Edition, 493 pages
Published March 14th 2011 by Kristen Ashley

At Peace (The 'Burg, #2) by Kristen Ashley

Kindle Edition, 568 pages
Published May 2nd 2011

Golden Trail (The 'Burg #3) by Kristen Ashley

Kindle Edition, 611 pages
Published July 5th 2011

Recomendo!!!!
Lido em dezembro de 2012, novembro de 2013 e junho de 2014.

Games of the Heart (The 'Burg #4) by Kristen Ashley

Kindle Edition, 594 pages
Published March 15th 2012

BOOK TOUR - Breaking Danger (Ghost Ops #3) by Lisa Marie Rice

Breaking Danger (Ghost Ops #3) by Lisa Marie Rice

ebook, 320 pages
Expected publication: July 15th 2014

Resenha em português e inglês / Review in Portuguese and English

ARC recebido da autora para resenha honesta / ARC received from author to honest review.

Altamente recomendado!

------------------

The story continues from the events of the end of the previous book in the series.
The book tells the story of Sophie and Jon and also the story of overcoming and resumption of society after the contamination of the majority of the population by a virus created in the laboratory.
Sophie is a scientist who has the components to make a vaccine against the virus that is attacking the humanity. Jon is responsible for bringing her safely to Haven. Haven is the only safe place at the moment and that has enough technology to manufacture the vaccine.
The first scene of the couple was explosive! Or rather it was nuclear.
Along the reading we are following the birth of the couple's relationship and the desperate struggle to escape the infected to reach Safe Haven.
We also discovered that Sophie has the gift of healing and that in view of this she is a person who doesn't open up much to relationships.
Jon had a very difficult childhood and suffered a lot and that's why he is very closed and is also known for his coldness.
Jon and Sophie complete fully and give us a beautiful story of love and hope.
The author gives depth to the characters and we were captivated by the story.
We also have a vision of what happens with the characters from previous books which is always welcome.
We have an epilogue, pretty cool!
Highly recommended!!!

Temos cenas bem emocionantes e tocantes.
Recomendo muito a leitura deste livro.

------------------

First I have to thank the NetGalley the opportunity to discover this author.
The book is very well written and leaves us immersed in the story from start to finish.
Our heroine is in a complicated situation, is forced to spend vacation with her father, her stepmother and her son. The relationship between them is not good and to top it off she is facing a personal crisis, because the previous summer she and her cousin were drowned in the River, but she was the only one who survived.
She feels responsible for the death of the girl and despite having been an accident she feels guilty and tormented by what happened.
And there she finds our hero which is also plagued by the past and very mysterious.
Both feel attracted to each other, but nothing is simple for this couple.
We follow a roller coaster of emotions and we love every minute of it.
Our heroes take us on a journey of self discovery and redemption. We have very exciting and touching scenes.
I highly recommend reading this book.
